Biocure
Biocure is a metal working enhancement additive offering multifunctional benefits. The product can be added to coolant tanks to help improve the pH and reserve alkalinity plus corrosion protection.
Biocure controls bacteria, fungi, and yeasts in water-based metal working fluids which are prone to contamination.
Without biocide control, coolant systems can develop unpleasant odours, sump slime and biofilm, reduced tool life, corrosion issues and skin irritation risks.
Available in 5 & 20 litres
Adding the emulsion directly to the sump for maintenance dosing or shock treatment of water-based metalworking fluids.
APPLICATION
- Adding the emulsion directly to the sump:
- Maintenance level dosing – weekly use alongside dip slide testing
- 0.1% of total sump volume
- For example – 50 litre tank = 50ml of Biocure
- Shock treatment – if coolant smells/goes sour
- 0.2 – 0.25% of total sump volume
- For example – 50 litre tank = 20 – 25ml of Biocide
HOW TO ADD BIOCURE
- Ensure coolant pump is running
- Pour slowly into return flow or directly in the tank while circulating
- Run for 30 – 60 minutes
- Re-check pH – ideal 8.5 – 9.5pH for most soluble oils
- Log treatment for HSE compliance

How do I know if my coolant needs Biocure?
- Common signs include: sour or rotten eggs smell, drop in pH, visible slime and failed dip slide bacteria test.
How often should Biocure be added?
- Preventatively – weekly or when bacteria counts begin to rise
- Correctively – only when contamination is confirmed
Can I overdose with Biocure?
- Yes, overdosing may cause: foaming, chemical imbalance, increased dermatitis risk and reduced coolant performance.
Will Biocure fix heavily contaminated coolant?
- In moderate contamination, yes
- If the coolant is severely degraded a full system cleanout will be required.
Does Biocure affect coolant concentration?
- No, it does not replace coolant concentration, it controls microbes but does not restore lost lubrication or concentration.
